Weekly Coach Check-In: January 1st, 2012

Hey TeamInternallyFit,

Happy New Year to a new YOU!!!  There is no better way to start off a new year than with a commitment to be healthy (spiritually and physically).  I can hardly believe that 2011 is in the history books, but I’m very excited about what 2012 has to offer.

Starting January 16th I’ll be starting a P90X 2 challenge group, if you want in just let me know.  Challenge groups are a great way to stay motivated, hold others accountable and see great results.  After that I plan on trying the new Les Mills Pump that is now offered by Beachbody.  Checkout teaminternallyfit.com to find info, videos and to order PUMP.

I’ve also gotten word that the new Shakeology Tropical is going to be available this month, probably later in the month.  Tropical is also vegan, which means that it’s completely plant based with no animal or dairy based protein. 

I just finished my 60 day vegan challenge and to my surprise it wasn’t that bad.  I continued my workouts as normal with no feeling of weakness or fatigue.  As a matter of fact, I felt as good if not better during my challenge.  During the challenge I discovered several vegan recipes that I love and will definitely continue to eat.

New on TeamInternallyFit.com this week:

1.) P90X 2: What’s New:  If you’ve completed P90X and are ready to dive into X2, I’m sure you have a lot of questions about what makes one different from the other.  So I tried to share as much info as I could about how X2 is unique and offers its own challenges for the P90X grad.

2.) Resolutions?:  We’ve all made them, but how many people actually stick to them?  What are the top 10 resolutions each year?  Hint: at least half deal with health, fitness or personal improvement.  Read this to find out how you can stick with yours this year.

3.) Losing Weight and Keeping It Off:  Have you ever lost weight, maybe a lot of weight, only to put it back on.  Learn some practical tips for losing weight and keeping it off this time.

4.) Looking In The Mirror:  Do you find it hard to look in the mirror every day?  Do you like what you see?  I’ve listed some of Tony Horton’s Do’s and Don’ts when it comes to improving your health and fitness.

Weekly Health Tip:

Low fat yogurt (and nonfat yogurt) is an excellent source of protein and calcium; nutrients that play an important role in weight loss and help reduce the risk of hypertension, type 2 diabetes, osteoporosis and tooth decay.
