Beachbody products are not just a single workout, piece of miracle equipment or just a nice little nutrition plan, it is a complete system proven time and time again to work, but only if you stick to the program.  People are getting the DVD’s (from Beachbody or worse bootlegged)  and think all they have to do is follow the proper workout plan and POOOOF, incredible results in 90 days.  Sorry folks, just doesn’t happen that way.  You can’t do 1/2 of the “program”, like only do the workouts and expect to get in the best shape of your life and loose tons of weight.  You want to know why? Because is a complete program and all of the parts work together to make you successful. HERE”S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

1.) FOLLOW THE NUTRITION GUIDE:

The Nutrition Plan is the key to the P90X workout. It’s not just a free gift that you get for buying the workouts, it helps you determine how much you should eat, tells you what to eat, and why. Think about this. Each pound of fat is about 3,000 calories.  In order to lose weight you need to ensure that you’re burning more calories than you’re taking in, but that you’re still eating enough to maintain high energy levels.  How to figure that out?  Do you just make it up?  No, No, No, the nutrition plan is how.  How do you know what you should be eating?  It’s in the nutrition plan.  How often?  Refer to the nutrition guide.  What should you avoid?  Look at the nutrition guide.  How should you time your meals around your workouts?  You got it, read the nutrition guide.  The guide is not long and its very straight forward.  Truth is, eating a proper diet while exercising with P90X is 70 to 80% of your results.  Yes, you heard me right 70 to 80% of your results.  If you don’t dial into your nutrition, I can almost guarantee, you won’t get results you hoped for.

2.) PUSH PLAY EVERYDAY!!:

Now the workouts.  So let’s use P90X as an example, you have 13 DVD’s in the P90X Workouts.  But what order do you play them?  How do you know when to do the upper body workouts, the cardio, the plyo, the core? If you don’t order them right, you’ll get muscle fatigue in all the wrong places. If you don’t know the order to play them in, you’ll miss out on Tony’s key concept: Muscle Confusion. That’s the brains behind the program, the order that changes in a carefully synchronized fashion that allows you to maximize your gains throughout the workout. 

3.) TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE FREE SUPPORT:

If you purchase a Beachbody program, you will have access to the WOWY SuperGym (think facebook for people who workout), a Beachbody coach (ME) and fitness message boards.  These things are all in place to help you get the support and answer your question so you can maximize your results, so please take advantage of this FREE support.

4.) MODIFY IF YOU NEED TO:

If you find that the workout you chose was too difficult, no worries, just modify.  Beachbody programs are designed for people at all fitness levels and therefore they have built in modifications for those that might need more time to get in shape or follow the most intense moves.  So, if you think a workout maybe to difficult, don’t forget to modify.  Your Beachbody coach is also there to help you make modifications that can work for you.

So what have you learned here today? Follow the nutrition plan. Follow the P90X schedule or schedule of the workout of you choice.  Use the support system and modify if you need to.  If you skip one of the steps you’re missing out on incredible results and a new lifestyle.  Get with the program!
