Weekly Coach Check-In: February 26th, 2012

Hey TeamInternallyFit,

Spring is in the air!!! I don’t know about where you live, but here in Tennessee the temperatures have been usually warm.  In some cases 30 degrees above normal.  That means a lot of time outside playing with the kiddos and staying active.  I love doing my beachbody workouts, but it’s always good to get outside and play baseball, basketball, ride a bike or just take a walk around the neighborhood.

Don’t let your “workout” be the only exercise you get every day.  Get out, be active and find ways to keep moving.  In the long run you will feel better, have more energy and keep off those unwanted pounds.

Just a reminder, if you’ve got a weight loss success story that you wouldn’t mind sharing, please let me know through my website or email.  I would like to post it on my website.  Showing your results is a great way to help motivate you and keep you accountable but it’s also a great way to inspire others to do the same.

Also, don’t forget to plug into to find motivation, support and advice.  If you have a question about health and fitness just let me know and I promise I can help.  My facebook and twitter pages (teaminternallyfit) are available also for your support and motivation.

Don’t forget to check out the new products at P90X2, Les Mills Pump and Tropical Shakeology.

New on this week:

1.) Fitness Goals: People who set goals and write them down are twice as likely to follow through.  Find information on how to set goals and reach them.

2.) ESPN and Tony Horton:  Tony Horton, the creator of 90X and P90X 2 stops by the ESPN studio’s to show some of the staff some of the new moves from P90X 2.

3.) Weight or Cardio? : If you’ve ever asked this question before, you’re not alone.  My struggle with which is better for overall health and fitness.  Read this article to find out the benefits of both and how to use them.

Weekly Health Tip:

Coffee has an undeserved bad reputation when it comes to its impact on health.  In fact, caffeinated coffee has been shown to help prevent memory loss and decrease the risk of certain cancers.  Because coffee can interfere with sleep, it is best to stick to decaffeinated coffee if you suffer from insomnia.  If you have high blood pressure, speak with your physician about your coffee habits.  If you have high cholesterol, drink filtered coffee – unfiltered coffee (like French press, espresso, and cappuccino) may increase LDL (“bad”) cholesterol.  And don’t let your cup of Joe be a calorie trap – watch how much milk and sugar you add!

And 2 favors that I ask:

1) If you like the hard work I put into writing my articles and videos, PLEASE help me out by sharing them. Click the share links below them and share them on FB, twitter, etc.  It really helps me get more exposure and grow TeamInternallyFit!

2) Also, remember that the way I benefit from being your coach is that I earn a commission from any Beachbody products that you purchase, as long as you buy them through my site,, (If you buy from the plain Beachbody site I get no credit). It helps with the amount of time I spend answering all your questions and helping you out. Thank you! I really appreciate it!
