Weekly Coach Check-In: March 4th, 2012

Hey TeamInternallyFit,

Another week of 2012 is in the books.  Are you still on track to reach your health and fitness goals?  Have you kept pushing play and eating clean every day?  Remember to be an example of a healthy lifestyle for your kids, your spouse, your friends and your family.

Keep in mind that summer is just around the corner, less than 3 months now and I am here to help get you swimsuit ready.  It’s time to throw out the excuses and start making good decisions about your health and fitness.

As always I’ve heard a million excuses from people about why they don’t workout or can’t lose weight.  The most recent was that “my weight gain is genetic”.  Well, there is no doubt that genetics play a factor in our lives.  However, if you feel the reason your struggling is genetic I want you to remember this, “genetics load the gun; your lifestyle pulls the trigger”.  Think about it . . . and stop making excuses.

Also, I wanted to share with you some news about another new workout coming soon to Beachbody.  Recently, Beachbody has released P90X 2, Les Milles Pump and for all of you cardio junkies, Insanity: The Asylum 2 is set to begin shooting in April or May.  I noticed when I got my copy of The Asylum last April it included Vol I, so I figured Vol II was soon to follow.

New on this week:

1.) Fat Habits: Are your daily habits making or keeping you overweight.  This article outlines habits that are making us overweight and keeping us struggling with our weight.

2.) Balanced Diet – Busy Schedule:  Are you busy?  Well, so are millions of in shape, healthy Americans.  It is possible to have a hectic schedule and maintain a healthy life style.  Read this article to find out how.

3.) Flat Stomach Secrets:  Is it vanity to want washboard abs?  Maybe, but for me it was a reward for all of the hard work I put in for 90 days.  This article outlines the habits that can help you get the abs you’ve always wanted.

Weekly Health Tip:

Black beans contain many heart-healthy nutrients that help lower you cholesterol, triglycerides, and blood pressure: reduce your risk of coronary-artery disease and type 2 diabetes; and help you lose weight.  Packed with lean protein, soluble fiber, foliate, iron, magnesium, and potassium, black beans are also great for preventing osteoporosis; improving mood, memory and maintaining healthy hair.  Magnesium-rich black beans are also helpful for individuals who experience migraines.

And 2 favors that I ask:

1) If you like the hard work I put into writing my articles and videos, PLEASE help me out by sharing them. Click the share links below them and share them on FB, twitter, etc.  It really helps me get more exposure and grow TeamInternallyFit!

2) Also, remember that the way I benefit from being your coach is that I earn a commission from any Beachbody products that you purchase, as long as you buy them through my site,, (If you buy from the plain Beachbody site I get no credit). It helps with the amount of time I spend answering all your questions and helping you out. Thank you! I really appreciate it!
