Weekly Coach Check-In: March 25th, 2012

Hey TeamInternallyFit,

WOW!! It’s officially spring break for me and the kiddos.  I’ve just completed my P90X 2 recovery week (which I needed badly) and now I’m ready to start the performance phase.  Three weeks of P.A.P. workouts, yoga and cardio.  If you’re wondering what a P.A.P. workout is CLICK HERE.  On I recently posted an article, with videos of Dr. Marcus Elliott explaining the science behind P.A.P. workouts.  Here’s a preview: It’s used by some of the top athletes in the WORLD and its coming to my house starting Monday, can’t wait.

I’m really looking forward to this week because it going to show how far I’ve come since starting X2 way back in January.  Since starting X2 in January I’ve completed 3 weeks of a foundation phase, 6 weeks of a strength phase and 1 week of recovery.  Now it’s time for the final phase, 3 weeks of the performance phase.  Bring It!!

I’ve got some Beachbody news to pass along, Tai Cheng was released last week, and I will post all the links to order it, because I know some of you are chomping at the bit to order this!  Not me! LOL!  It’s not my thing.  But hey, we aren’t all the same, and we all have different fitness needs and different goals, and that’s why I’m going to make sure I look out for y’all and give you the links as soon as they are live, just as if this were the long awaited P90X2 release.  If any of you order it, I’ll be glad to let you write a review for it.

Also, on the Beachbody front Insanity: The Asylum Vol 2 will begin filming in April or May so it won’t be long before we can get our hand on that bad boy.  I heard through the grape vine that the tag line is, “If you didn’t finish Insanity, don’t even try this one”.  YIKES!!!

Have a great week.

New on this week:

1.) Why Wait? : You know what happens when you wait and put off your health and fitness goals?  NOTHING.  Read this article to find out why now is the perfect time to get fit and in shape.

2.) P90X Restaurant Guide:  Who says you can’t eat healthy and eat out?  If you know the secrets you can.  Checkout this restaurant guide from P90X.

3.) No Motivation: Did you know that even the most fit, dedicated people you know lack motivation sometimes?  Read more to find out how you can overcome it just like them.

4.) Pointless Foods to Eat: Some foods appear healthy but are a waste of your time.  Avoid these “healthy” options at the supermarket and you’ll be better for it.

Weekly Health Tip:

Though they’re technically a fruit, tomatoes are considered a vegetable due to their savory flavor.  Like other nonstarchy vegetables, tomatoes are rick in water and low in calories, making them a great choice for people who are trying to lose weight.  They are packed with antioxidant, including vitamin C, lycopene, bet-carotene, and quercetin, which help prevent and manage arthritis, memory loss, cataracts, and macular degeneration, as well as maintain healthy skin, hair, and teeth.  Tomatoes also provide potassium, a mineral that may help lower blood pressure and boost bone health.

And 2 favors that I ask:

1) If you like the hard work I put into writing my articles and videos, PLEASE help me out by sharing them. Click the share links below them and share them on FB, twitter, etc.  It really helps me get more exposure and grow TeamInternallyFit!

2) Also, remember that the way I benefit from being your coach is that I earn a commission from any Beachbody products that you purchase, as long as you buy them through my site,, (If you buy from the plain Beachbody site I get no credit). It helps with the amount of time I spend answering all your questions and helping you out. Thank you! I really appreciate it!
