Weekly Coach Check-In: November 27th, 2012

Hey TeamInternallyFit,

Shew!! I survived another “eating” holiday.  How did you do?  If you stayed on track and kept your eating under control, congratulations, I know you feel great and have no regrets.  If you didn’t, don’t worry, stand back up, dust off and let’s get heading in the right direction and prepare for the weeks leading up to Christmas.  I know, I know, it’s easy to say, “It’s just once or twice a year”, but for most people that have struggled with their weight for a few years or their whole lives, just once or twice could mean huge setbacks for them.  Keep plugging into, keep pushing play and keep making the changes that YOU can be proud of.

Currently, I’m finishing up the first month of my Les Mills Pump/Insanity Asylum Volume 2 hybrid and let me say “WOW”, I’m lovin these two workouts.  Having done both Insanity and Asylum Volume 1 I knew what to expect from Asylum Volume 2 . . . Les Mills Pump was another story.  I completed underestimated this workout.  When it came out last Christmas I blew it off and bought P90X 2 instead.  I loved P90X 2, but forgot about LMP until late this summer when I decided to try it after finishing a round of Body Beast.

LMP incorporates the “Rep Effect”, which has you performing over 800 reps in at least 2 of the workouts!!!!  Half of the LMP workouts hit every body part such as legs, chest, back, triceps, biceps, shoulders and abs in one workout.  Each body part is worked in a series of rep variations over 4 to 5 minute tracks.  The other half of the workout works the same body parts except the triceps, biceps and shoulders.

Combining these two great workouts has definitely been a challenge, but one that has keep me focused over the holidays.  I’m currently working on a detailed review for each of these workouts to give you a better idea if these workouts would be something you would like to try.  After finishing this hybrid at the end of December, I plan on hitting another round of “The Beast” with Sagi.

New on this week:

1.) Happy Thanksgiving: I shared some things that I am thankful for this holiday season.

2.) It’s An Hour!!!: People are always giving me the same excuse, “I don’t have time”.  So, I decided to write this article and give you suggestions on ways that you can make more time and less excuses.

3.) Hardgainer:  Believe it or not there are some people out there who have trouble gaining weight and adding muscle.  If that’s you, then this is the post you’ve been looking for.  I’ve put together some suggestions of things that you’re doing wrong and ways that you can pack on the pounds and “BEAST UP!!”

WEEKLY HEALTH TIP: Lentils contain many heart-healthy nutrients that help lower your cholesterol, triglycerides, and blood pressure; reduce your risk of coronary-artery disease and type 2 diabetes; and help you lose weight.  Packed with lean protein, high-quality carbohydrates, soluble fiber, folate, iron, potassium, and zinc, lentils are also great for preventing osteoporosis and macular degeneration; improving mood, memory; and maintaining healthy skin and hair.

And 2 favors that I ask:
1) If you like the hard work I put into writing my articles and videos, PLEASE help me out by sharing them. Click the share links below them and share them on FB, twitter, etc.  It really helps me get more exposure and grow TeamInternallyFit!
2) Also, remember that the way I benefit from being your coach is that I earn a commission from any Beachbody products that you purchase, as long as you buy them through my site,, (If you buy from the plain Beachbody site I get no credit). It helps with the amount of time I spend answering all your questions and helping you out. Thank you! I really appreciate it!
