Weekly Coach Check-In: January 1st, 2013

Hey TeamInternallyFit,

Happy New Year!!!  It’s a new year and time for a new you.  I hope 2012 was a great year for you and your family.  I’m looking forward to helping 2013 be your best year ever. 

I hope you had a great Christmas and New Year celebration!  I know my family and I did.  Now’s the time to reflect on the 2012 — what things did we do that we are really proud of?  What things could we have done different in 2013?  What are our goals for the New Year?  Are they to make our lives and the lives of those around us better?  I hope so.

The first few weeks of a new year are always exciting; because it’s the time of year people get that rush of motivation to make improvements and to expect more from themselves.  The number one resolution each year is to lose weight and by the end of February 73% of those who made that their resolution have already given up.  Let TeamInternallyFit help encourage you and others to STICK WITH IT!   New Year’s resolutions don’t have to last a month or 2.  There is absolutely no reason they can’t last a lifetime and take our quality of life to a new level.  Let’s be the source of encouragement to those around us.  Join together to motivate ourselves and others around us!  2013 is your year to be the BEST!!!

Beachbody has some exciting news for us this year and they will give out all the details later this week.  I look forward to sharing them with you.

WEEKLY HEALTH TIP: Black-eyed peas, a type of starchy bean, are a very good source of folate, which may help reduce the risk of heart disease, enhance memory, and improve mood.  They also contain zinc, a mineral that wards off macular degeneration.
