Weekly Coach Check-In: April 9th, 2013
Hey TeamInternallyFit,

How’s your April been going?  For me April means spring sports and late nights at the ball field.  This year I have both my daughters playing softball and I’ve decided to coach both their teams.  It’s a little crazy at times and it’s tempting to make things easier and just eat junk food from the concession stand or fast food on the way, but why waist all my hard work?  The temptation is great but I remember how terrible I felt when I used to eat like that, so what do I do?  I plan ahead, pack a snack and carry my own bottled water.  It’s that simple and unlike others who blame ball season on their “sudden” weight gain I’m able to stay healthy, have energy and not have to worry about my expanding waist line.

If you haven’t heard, 2 weeks ago Beachbody announced that Shaun T, yes the same Shaun T that created Insanity and the Asylum series is coming out with a new workout this Summer called “Focus T: 25”.  Workout 5 days a week (P90X 2 philosophy) for only 25 minutes . . . sounds easy doesn’t?  Here’s the catch . . . NO REST BREAKS, NO RECOVERY TIME, it’s 25 minutes of hardcore cardio.  You asked for shorter workouts . . . you got it!!!

So what’s the April Insanity sale all about?  For the month of April, you can get the Insanity Challenge Pack for just $180.

With the Insanity Challenge pack, you get:

  • Shaun T’s Insanity workout program ($119 value)
  • Shakeology ($129 value)
  • A VIP club membership to teambeachbody ($15 value)
  • And FREE SHIPPING ($15 value)

You save over $90.00!

The Insanity challenge pack bundle is usually $205 (which is a $75 savings), but in April you get an additional $25 off and score the whole package for $180.

New on this week:

1.) PB2 ReviewAnybody that knows me knows my two favorite things to eat are chocolate and peanut butter.   But, with the strict controls that I place on myself and my diet in order to reach my fitness and health goals, peanut butter or chocolate just cannot play as large a part as I would like it to!  Until now, that is!!  I recently found PB2 WOW!! I love this peanut butter . . . for a couple of reasons.  First, it tastes great and secondly, 2 tbsp have only 45 calories!!!!!!!  My regular natural peanut butter has 200 calories in 2 tbsp.  Read my review to find out more.

2.) Why Food JournalWhen you think about losing weight what are the two things that pop into your head?  Proper nutrition and exercise, right?  Now, a clean diet and regular exercise are essential for staying fit and trim, but the latest research, including a recent episode of the Dr. Oz Show, suggests that keeping a food journal can help shed even more pounds, possible double the amount of weight loss by simply writing down what you eat.

3.) Negative Attitudes and Excuses – Summer is less than 90 Days away so read this to find ways to create a positive attitude and leave the excuses at the door.

WEEKLY HEALTH TIP: Mangoes, a type of tropical fruit, are a good source of vitamin C and beta-carotene, antioxidants that help prevent arthritis, cataracts, and macular degeneration, as well as maintain healthy hair and skin.

And 2 favors that I ask:
