Weekly Coach Check-In: December 18th

Hey TeamInternallyFit,

Wow, I can’t believe a week from today will be Christmas day!!  If you’re like me and have small children (or big ones for that matter) this is one of the most fun and exciting times of the year.  But be careful it’s also “prime time” eating season as well and you don’t want those results that you’ve worked 3, 6, 9 or 11 months for to go down the tubes in just a few weeks.  Plug into TeamInternallyFit and stay motivated to live a healthy and fit lifestyle.

Well P90X 2 has been shipping now for about 2 weeks so you should have received yours by now.  BB said originally that they would get them to us by Christmas, and they are ahead of schedule for the most part. How exciting! I was lucky and got mine on the first shipment so I have been trying out some of the workouts and let me tell you, they are outstanding!

I am aware that there were a few mix-ups from BB due to the quantity of kits they were trying to ship as quickly as possible. I’ve heard of a few rare instances where people got DVD instead of Blu Ray.  If that was you, no worries. Just call 1-800-240-0913 and they will get you taken care of.  They can look up your order to verify, and then help you make the exchange.  And since it’s still well before Christmas, you should have it all squared away (even with a mix-up) in time for starting P90X2 in January.

One issue I am now aware of regarding X2 orders is that the Spanish versions were NOT ready in time to ship by Christmas. They WILL arrive the first week of January though.  No problemo!

Oh, and that reminds me, starting the first of January I will be having a P90X 2 challenge, however you don’t “have to” do P90X2 with our Challenge group. You are totally free to do it whenever you want and use whatever program you want. But for those of you who have gotten to be part of a big group challenge, you know how much more exciting it is. Later I’ll be posting all the details for those of you who want to join the “X2 Challenge”.

4.) Les Mills Pump is coming to Beachbody –  Available in December, this workout, called “Les Mills Pump”, is based on the internationally popular Body Pump classes that are at gyms worldwide. The difference is this program brings it to your home, where you can do the workouts on YOUR schedule. You’ll get 7 workouts, a barbell, weights, and a workout guide. This workout program is based on the concept of using lower weight, high reps of barbell work to burn a TON of calories and sculpt long lean muscle without building too much bulk (this is called the “rep effect”). In a typical workout, you’ll do over 800 reps and burn over 1,000 calories.

Weekly Health Tip:

Due to their level of “good” monounsaturated fats, avocados are a great choice for those concerned with lowering their cholesterol, reducing blood pressure, and limiting their risk for type 2 diabetes.  Avocados are also an excellent way to get more antioxidants like vitamin E in the diet, which can protect and maintain healthy skin.
