Weekly Coach Check-In: April 1st, 2014

Hey TeamInternallyFit,

WOW, is it April 1st already, man the time has flown.  This is my last week of P90X 3 before I move on to another round of Body Beast at least until Beachbody releases another great workout or two at Summit in June.  So, what workout have you been doing?  What kind of results have you gotten?  Weight loss?  Muscle strength?  Improved cardiovascular?  Let me know I would love to hear from you and hear how things are going.

Don’t forget, Chalene Johnson introduced a new workout she’s been working on called PiYo.  To construct this workout Chalene took the best moves from Pilates and combined them with yoga and turned up the volume to give you a full body strength, cardio and flexibility workout.  PiYo packs it all into one workout to burn serious calories while building lean muscle mass.  PiYo should be available sometime this summer, I’ll let you know.

April 7th marks the 4th Surge. Each one is bigger and better than the last. What is Surge? It’s an 8-hour LIVE broadcast from Beachbody headquarters featuring jam-packed action hosted by Beachbody Co-Founder and CEO, Carl Daikeler. WEEKLY HEALTH TIP: Bananas offer much more than just high potassium content, they are full of B vitamins, soluble fiber and vitamin C.  Bananas help protect against many health problems including high blood pressure and heart attack.  According to a recent study in the New England journal of Medicine, eating bananas regularly can reduce the risk of death by stroke by as much as 40%.
