Weekly Coach Check-In: February 17th, 2015

Hey TeamInternallyFit,

Well, another sweets filled holiday is over . . . Valentine’s Day!  How well did you do?  I personally struggled, with 2 elementary age kids at home and a wife who loves chocolate there were a lot of temptations in the house.  Did I have a piece of chocolate or sweet?  Yes, but I tried to maintain a limit to keep from going overboard.  Sometimes it’s not about denying yourself of things (chocolate is not bad) its just about finding out how to control it and not overindulging.  The key is portion control and being able to know when to say “enough is enough”.  Easier said than done, right?

Great news from Beachbody!!  Starting March 2nd, Beachbody will be rolling out a new product . . . no it’s not a new workout . . . no it’s not a new supplement . . . It’s BEACHBODY ON DEMAND!  Workout anytime, anywhere from your mobile device, tablet or computer.  I’ve had a chance the last few weeks to try it out and it’s incredible.  Just like a regular program you’ll also receive a nutrition guide, workout guide and other materials all on your devices.  I’ll give you more info in the coming days.

  2. Struggling? – Do you struggle to make it through a workout?  If so, you’re not alone.  Struggling is a part of working out, so read more to find out how you can overcome your struggles.
  3. 9 foods you should never give your kids – We do it out of habit and we do it out of convenience, but feeding our kids fast food and junk food can cause some serious problems.  Find out what foods you should stop feeding your kids and alternative to keep it simple.  
  4. Monday Motivation – Its the first day of the week and the start of a new beginning after the Valentine’s holiday!  Time to get reenergized and refreshed.

WEEKLY HEALTH TIP: Oats are nutritional powerhouses.  Start your morning off right with a bowl of oatmeal and experience all the benefits.  Oats are said to lower high cholesterol, prevent diabetes and balance blood sugar.  They provide cancer-fighting antioxidants and anti-inflammation properties.
