Weekly Coach Check-In: January 29th, 2013

Hey TeamInternallyFit,

Well, the first month of the year is almost in the books.  I like to call January, “The Resolution” month because this is definitely the time of the year when people decide it’s time to make improvement and lifestyle changes.  It’s always easy to start, but having the dedication and the commitment to finish is much more difficult.  So, how are you holding up during the first four weeks of the year?  Which of the following words describe your New Year so far:  dedicated, motivated, lazy, regret, excited, re-charged or depressed? Write down your “Why?” and don’t look back.  It you start to fall refer back to it and remind yourself why you’re committing to a new lifestyle.

This week I started my second phase of Body Beast.  The first phase was called the “Build” phase and focused on building a great foundation for muscle growth using Super sets and Giant sets.  The phase I started this week is called the “Bulk” phase.  Using force Sets, Progressive Sets, Combo Sets, and Multi-Sets it builds on the size I gained in Phase 1. Now the focus shifts to muscular hypertrophy, the technical term for the muscle cells enlarging, bringing about explosive muscle growth. I LOVE IT and LOVE the RESULTS!!!!

I mentioned last week that Beachbody was releasing a Body Beast mobile app and I’m glad to say it’s HERE!!!

For those of you doing Body Beast, Beachbody just launched a new mobile app specifically for the Body Beast workout plan.  It is web optimized—so it’ll work on just about any mobile device with an internet connection.  It has =

  • Pictures and descriptions of every move.
  • Workout calendar (Huge Beast or Lean Best) with the daily workout and the sequence of sets/moves in each workout
  • Fitness tracker that keeps a tab on your measurements and overall progress.
  • Calorie calculator based on your individual goals.
  • A food guide with delicious recipes.
  • Workout history and more.

You can access the Body Beast Mobile site at this link =

**The Body Beast mobile app is only available to those who have purchased Body Beast through teamBeachbody.  You will be prompted to enter your login email address and password when trying to launch the app the first time, and it will only grant you access if you are a Body Beast owner.

New on this week:

1.) Milk Alternatives:  Here you will find healthy alternatives to dairy products that can provide all the nutrients you need and help you maintain a fit lifestyle.

2.) P90X Success Stories:  Think the world’s most popular workout DVD is not for you?  Check out these success stories and find out how great results can be achieved by ANYBODY!!

3.) Healthy Overeating?:  Is it possible to overeat, even with healthy food?  The answer is YES and find out how it happens and how you can prevent it.

WEEKLY HEALTH TIP: Cashews are a good source of monounsaturated fat(healthy fat) and magnesium, nutrients that can improve cardiovascular health and help to manage type 2 diabetes.  Because cashews contain the mineral zinc, they can also help maintain healthy eyes, hair, and skin.  Like other nuts, cashews should be eaten in moderation since they’re calorie-dense (a handful of nuts per day).

And 2 favors that I ask:
1) If you like the hard work I put into writing my articles and videos, PLEASE help me out by sharing them. Click the share links below them and share them on FB, twitter, etc.  It really helps me get more exposure and grow TeamInternallyFit!
2) Also, remember that the way I benefit from being your coach is that I earn a commission from any Beachbody products that you purchase, as long as you buy them through my site,, (If you buy from the plain Beachbody site I get no credit). It helps with the amount of time I spend answering all your questions and helping you out. Thank you! I really appreciate it!
