You Can Change

According to a recent survey just over 5 out of 10 Americans (54%) want to lose weight, exercise more, reduce sugar intake and reduce meal portions.  The research also points out that 8 out of 10 men and women over the age of 18 are conscious about their current weight.  So what are Americans doing about it?  Many are resorting to expensive and sometimes dangerous surgery, others are eating out at least 3 times a week at a local fast food restaurant. When they do it at home they are microwaving high calorie, high fat, high sodium and highly process meals that are destroying their health and their waistline. If you’re one of the people who want to change their lifestyle and commit to a healthier, fitter person, what do you need to do?

1.) You can’t change your body composition.  You can only change your next meal – What is your body composition?  It is the measure of your body fat % to muscle in your body.  Notice I didn’t say body weight, simply because the scale can be misleading since everyone has a unique body type.  Checking your body fat % is a great way to measure you’re overall health and fitness.  But you can’t change your body composition until you commit to a healthy eating lifestyle.  Clean eating is the #1 key to reducing body weight and creating a healthier, fitter YOU.

2.) You can’t change your fitness level.  You can only start moving – After “cleaning up” you food choices, you need to focus on an exercise program.  I highly recommend the Beachbody line of in home fitness programs.  These programs not only come with a complete 90 day workout schedule but a eating plan designed to fit that particular workout.  You get everything you need in one package and the best part is that its cheaper than a gym membership.  Beachbody’s line of workouts can be used by individuals who have never worked out to those are are more advanced.

3.)
